African Music Star Youssou N’Dour (pronounced YOU-So Nah-Door) who incorporates his love for Islam into the lyrics of his songs is coming to the States via a documentary film about his plight as well as a live sold out show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Many in the Muslim community have boycotted his music claiming that he is “desecrating” Islam by mixing it with pop music culture, but realistically he is just another artist working his craft and using his creativity to get his message across to his fans.
