He’s back again! Jack White the alt-rock whiz from such bands as The White Stripes and The Racounteurs. He is back with an awesome new Alternative Rock super group called The Dead Weather which was formed in March 2009. Jack White will sing and play drums. Joining White are talented musicians: Allison Mosshart (from the band The Kills), guitarist Dean Fertita (of Queens Of The Stone Age), bassist Jack Lawrence (of The Racounteurs and The Greenhornes). This band has it all scuzzed-out guitars, nostalgic vocals, synths, and hard pounding drums. On their album debut entitled Horehound they channel 80’s Synth God Gary Numan with a cover of “Are Friends Electric?†Horehound drops in stores on June 9th so check out.

I can’t wait for this album to drop!! Couple of corrections: It’s Alison (not Allison), Are Friends Electric is the B-side to Hang You From the Heavens and is not on Horehound, the album drops on July 14th, not June 9th.
