Its that time again…the 51st Annual Grammy Awards have been announced. This years awards showcase will feature performers such as Rihanna, Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, Kenny Chesney, Paul McCartney with the Foo Fighters. Also to perform is former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant and newcomer Alison Kraus. They both have been nominated for Album of the year for their collaboration on “Raising Sand”.
Coldplay, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, and Radiohead are also nominated. Out of all five nominees for the biggest award of the night, only Ne-Yo is the only artist that is not set to perform during the show.
Lil Wayne is a big contender this year by taking in eight nominations. MTV says that Lil Wayne’s album “Tha Carter III†has a strong chance of taking home the Grammy for Album of the Year. We will see what happens!
The Grammy’s will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 8.
