Steven Tyler fired his new management team and signed with Mötley Crüe’s manager, Allen Kovac, at 10th Street Entertainment. Less than a year ago Tyler parted ways with Aerosmith manager Trudy Green and signed with John Greenberg and Jason Flom at Union Entertainment Group. The move enraged his bandmates.

According to Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, Tyler had been threatening to hire his own manager for years. “I was always like, ‘Well, stop talking about it if you feel like you need someone else to represent you, do it, get it done,’ ” Whitford said.

Relations between Tyler and Aerosmith worsened this year when the singer informed his band that he needed a two-year break to work on “Brand Tyler.” Aerosmith says they aren’t going to wait for him and are seeking a new singer.
